R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, on December 15, 1988, bids were received for
the Crockett Connector Bus Transfer Facility Project; and,
WHEREAS, Allco, Inc. , submitted the low bid in the
amount of $133,736.40 ; and,
WHEREAS, the bid submitted by Allco, Inc. , contained a
material error and Allco, Inc. , requested permission to withdraw
the bid; and
WHEREAS, APAC-Texas submitted the next lowest bid in
the amount of $146,148.00 ; and
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the
bid submitted by APAC-Texas is the lowest and best bid submitted
and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Allco, Inc. , is hereby withdrawn and
the bid submitted by APAC-Texas in the amount of $146, 148.00 be
accepted by the City of Beaumont for the Crockett Connector Bus
Transfer Facility Project.
