R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS on June 21 , 1985 , City Council awarded a
contract to Perkins Roofing Company, Inc. in the artiount of
?98 ,350 . 00 for roof repairs for the .Police Building; and,
WHEREAS, on September 29, 1983, Change Order No. 1 was
approved increasing the contract amount to $100 , 510 .00 and on
October 14, 1933 , Change Order No. 2 was approved increasing the
contract amount to $101 ,285.00 ; and,
WHEREAS, the project required 42 days to complete
resulting in a charge of 18-1 /2 days liquidated damages at
$250 . 00 p,-r day for a total of $4 ,625 .00 assessed against the
contract amount, there�ay decreasing the contract amount to
596 ,660 .00 ; and.,
WHEREAS, the project has been inspected by the
Engineering Division and is in conformance with the plans and
specifications;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEATK4ONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to accept
the project and make final payment to Perkins Roofing Company,
Inc. in the amount of $23,119.43 for completion of reroofing
repairs to the Beaumont Police Building.
