WHEREAS, on October 3 , 1988 , bids were received for
the streetscaping portion of the Stedman Building Project; and,
WHEREAS, John Bankston Construction and Equipment
Rental Company submitted a bid in the amount of $247,979.20 ,
including Alternates 1 and 3 amd Items 11 and 12 of Alternate 2 ;
and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the
bid submitted by John Bankston Construction and Equipment Rental
Company is the lowest and best bid and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by John Bankston Construction and
Equipment Rental Company in the amount of $247 ,979 .20, including
Alternates 1 and 3 and Items 11 and 12 of Alternate 2 , for the
streetscaping portion of the Stedman Building Project be accepted
by the City of Beaumont.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this
