HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 88-243 AGENDA ITEM - � - 'Z V3 Nom. 1) - � --- R E S 0 L U T 1 0 N WHEREAS, Jefferson County has recommended and approved the sale of the property described as Abstract 385, Tract 118 in Plat D-20 of the A. Williams Survey to William J. Adams for the amount of one Hundred and Fifty Dollars ($150 .00 ) ➢ and WHEREAS, because such property is being held in trust by Jefferson County for the City of Beaumont and the Beaumont Independent School District, it is necessary for all three entities to execute a deed to such property, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT: THAT Albert E. Haines, City Manager, be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute a Deed Without Warranty to William J. Adams transferring the interest that the City of Beaumont may have in the property described as Abstract 385 , Tract 118 in Plat D-20 of the A. Williams Survey, Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas. P. LEBLANC, JR. , County Judge, acting pursuant to an Order of the Commissioners Court of Jefferson County, Texas, duly entered of record in the Minutes of the Commissioners Court of Jefferson County; THE STATE OF TEXAS, having acquired title by virtue of a Tax Judgment, No. D-88524, and styled Jefferson County, Texas Vs N. P. Pullum, Et Ux and dated June 29, 1972; said land having been put up for sale in accordance with the law of Texas, and said land being purchased by THE STATE OF TEXAS, through its agent, JEFFERSON COUNTY at said Foreclosure Sale; said purchase being for the use and benefit of THE STATE OF TEXAS and all political subdivisions whose taxes are assessed and collected by the Assessor-Collector of taxes for Jefferson County, and for all other taxing units which were a part of said Judgment; for a consideration of One Hundred Fifty and 00/100 ($150.00) Dollars; THE STATE OF TEXAS, acting by and through its agent, JEFFERSON COUNTY, does by these presents Quit Claim unto William J. Adams, his heirs and assigns forever, all of its interest in that certain tract or parcel of land lying and being situated in Jefferson County, Texas to wit: All that certain tract, piece or parcel of land lying, being and situated in Jefferson County, Texas, a part and parcel of the Absalom Williams headright Survey described more fully by metes and bounds as follows, to-wit: BEGINNING at a stake for S.E. Corner of the land herein and hereby conveyed from which a pine 18 inches in diameter marked "x" bears N. 13 feet distant; THENCE North 325 feet to stake for 2nd corner; THENCE West 227 feet to stake for 3rd corner on the East line of W. T. Grigsby's land; ' ae THENCE South 316 feet to stake for corner, and THENCE East 227 feet to the place of beginning, containing one and 7/10 acres (1-7/10) of land. FURTHER described on the Tax Rolls of the Tax Assessor-Collector of Jefferson County as Tract 118-D-20, Abstract 385, A. WILLIAMS SURVEY, Jefferson County, Texas, per map or plat on file and of record in the office of the County Clerk of Jefferson County, Texas. TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the above described premises, together with all and singular the rights and appurtenances thereto in anywise belonging unto the said William J. Adams, his heirs and assigns forever. But it is distinctly understood and agreed that this conveyance is made and accepted without covenants and warranty of any kind, either express or implied.
