R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, on September 12, 1988, bids were received to
secure approximately thirty (30 ) Zenith brand personal computer
systems with various options to be purchased in varying
quantities and configurations by departments on an as needed
basis; and,
WHEREAS, Zenith Data Systems submitted the following
bid:

Zenith Z-286 (AT-Compatible)
w/5 1 /4" floppy drive and
Monochrome monitor $1 ,947.00
Color monitor 1 ,968.00
Zenith Z-286 (AT-Compatible)
w/3 1 /2" floppy drive and
Monochrome monitor $1 ,968.00
Color monitor 2,210.00
Zenith Z-159 (XT-Compatible)
w/5 1 /4" floppy drive and
Monochrome monitor $1 ,517.00
Color monitor 1 ,759.00
and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the
bid submitted by Zenith Data Systems is the lowest and best bid
submitted and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Zenith Data Systems be accepted by the
City of Beaumont to secure approximately thirty (30 ) Zenith brand
personal computer systems to be purchased in varying quantities
and configurations by departments on an as needed basis.
