WHEREAS, on April 26, 1988, City Council awarded a
contract to Watkins Construction Company for Phase IV of the
Tyrrell Park Stables Renovation Project in the amount of
$17 ,713.00 ; and,
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 was approved for additional
work performed by the contractor on the supporting walls in the
amount of $2 ,407.79; and,
WHEREAS, the project has been completed in accordance
with the plans and specifications;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT Change Order No. 1 to the contract between the City of
Beaumont and Watkins Construction Company is hereby approved and
that Phase IV of the Tyrrell Park Stables Renovation Project is
accepted by the City of Beaumont and the City Manager be, and he
is hereby, authorized to make final payment to Watkins
Construction Co. in the amount of $20,120.79.
