Fc .E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, the State Department of Highways and Public
Transportation is preparing roadway plans for the Spur 380
( Irving to College) Project and the !H-10/US 69 Interchange
Project; and,
WHEREAS , upon completion, these projects will require
the installation/modifi.cai-ion of the traffic signals at the
following locations:
1 ) IH-10 North Frontage Road at Gladys
2) !4. L. Kind Parkway/Spur 380 ) Frontage Road at
Pennsylvania
3 ) 'M. L. King Parkway/Spur 380 Frontage Road at Park
4) Vt. L. King Parkway/Spur 380 at Franklin
5 ) N. L. King Parkway/Spur 380 at College
o) M. L. King Parkway/Spur 380 at Wall
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITE' OF BEAU1MONT
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute
two ( 2 ) blanket agreements with the State Department of Highways
and Public Transportation for the installation of traffic signals
at the above locations. Under the first blanket agreement, the
State will furnish the necessary funds for the preparation of
glans and specifications, construction, installation, and for
operation and maintenance of the signal upon com-pletion of
construction. This agreement is for the first three ( 3 )
locations indicated abov(:>. Under the second agreement, the State
will furnish the necessary Funds for the preparation of
construction and will be responsible for the installation. The
City will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the
signals. This agreement covers the last three (3 ) intersections
indicated above.
