R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, on March 28, 1988, bids were received for an
annual contract for the purchase of sand and clay; and,
WHEREAS, Beeco Sand Company of Vidor, Texas, submitted
a bid in the amounts listed below:
F.O.B. Pit (For use b y all city departments)
Sand $ .90 per cubic yard
Clay .90 per cubic yard
F.O.B. 5895 Lafin Dr. (For Landfill cover)
14 cubic yard load $2. 94 per cubic yard
25 cubic yard load 2.74 per cubic yard
and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the
bids submitted above are the lowest and best bids and should be
accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bids submitted by Beeco Sand Company in the amounts
listed above for an annual contract for the purchase of sand and
clay be accepted by the City of Beaumont for furnishing sand
delivered to the Landfill and sand and clay F.O.B. pitsite.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this
