WHEREAS, Article 6701m-2, V.T.C.S. requires
identification of city and county-owned vehicles and heavy
equipment, and further provides for exemption of certain vehicles
when used for the purpose of performing official duties;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT in accordance with provisions of Article 6701m-2 , V.T.C.S. ,
city vehicles used for the purpose of performing official duties
by the Beaumont Police Department are hereby exempted under
identification requirements for unmarked vehicles.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the following persons be,
and they are hereby, authorized to submit applications for
special license plates to the State Department of Highways and
Public Transportation on behalf of the city:
Albert Haines, City Manager
George Schuldt, Chief of Police
Susanne Brubaker, Purchasing Manager
