R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, on March 7 , 1988 , bids were received for a
six-month contract to purchase asphalts, oil and emulsions for
use by the Public Work' s Operations Division; and,
WHEREAS, the following bids were submitted:
Texaco Refining & Marketing, Inc. (Pt. Neches)
10,000 gal. MC 30 $ .54/gal.
5,000 gal. RC 250 .52/gal.
1 , 000 gal. AC 5 . 4979/gal.
1 ,000 gal. AC 10 .4894/gal.
Elf Asphalt (Pt. Neches)
2,500 gal. CRS-2 Emulsified Asphalt $ .52/gal.
2, 500 gal. Prime Emulsified Asphalt .57/gal.
and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the
bids submitted above are the best bids submitted and should be
accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bids submitted above be accepted by the City of Beaumont
in the amounts stated for a six-month contract for the purchase
of asphalts, oil and emulsions for use by the Public Work' s
Operations Division.
