WHEREAS, on February 15, 1988 , bids were received for
the purchase of two tractors with brush cutter; and,
WHEREAS, Oil City Tractors, Inc. of Beaumont, Texas,
submitted a bid in the amount of $53,814; and,
WHEREAS, the bid submitted by Oil City Tractors, Inc.
in the amount of $53,814 was the only bid meeting specifications
which was received; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the
bid submitted by Oil City Tractors, Inc. is the best bid and
should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Oil City Tractors, Inc. in the amount
of $53,814 be accepted by the City of Beaumont for the purchase
of two tractors with brush cutter for use in the Operations
Division of the Public Works Department.
