R E S 0 L U T I 0 N
WHEREAS, on December 28 , 1987, bids were received for
an annual contract to purchase various types of paint products
for use by the Building Maintenance Division; and,
WHEREAS, Sherwin-Williams Company of Beaumont, Texas
submitted a base bid in the amount of $48, 130 .50 for the
following items;
1500 gal. Vinyl Acrylic Interior Latex $7 .59/gal $11 , 385.00
700 gal. Alkyd Oil Base Enamel 9 . 19/gal 6 , 433 .00
2500 gal . Exterior House and Trim 9. 15/gal 22 ,875.00
850 gal. Alkyd Metal Primer 8.75/gal. 7, 437.50
and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the
bid submitted by Sherwin-Williams Company is the lowest and best
bid and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the base bid submitted by Sherwin-Williams Company be
accepted by the City of Beaumont in the amount of $48 , 130 . 50 for
the purchase of various types of paint products for use in the
Building Maintenance Division.
