WHEREAS, on August 1 , 1986 , the City of Beaumont
entered into an agreement with the Houston-Galveston Equipment
Finance Corporation for Certificates of Participation in the
maximum amount of Two Million Three Hundred Thousand Dollars
( $2 ,300 , 000 ) ; and,
WHEREAS, the City desires to designate such allocation
as "Qualified Tax Exempt Obligations" because such designation
will be beneficial to the City of Beaumont;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City' s $2, 300,000 allocation in the Houston-Galveston
Equipment Finance Corporation' s Certificates of Participation be,
and the same are hereby, designated as Qualified Tax Exempt
Obligations.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this
