aW R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Home Savings of America has applied to the
County for a refund of overpayment of 1985 city taxes in the
amount of Five Thousand Six Hundred Thirteen Dollars and Fifty
Cents ( $5,613 .50 ) ; and,
WHEREAS, the County Tax Assessor/Collector has notified
the city of the error and has requested a refund of the above
amount; and,
WHEREAS, State law requires the approval of the City
Council for all tax refunds in excess of Five Hundred Dollars
($500 ) ;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the refund of Five Thousand Six Hundred Thirteen Dollars and
Fifty Cents ( $5,613.50 ) to Home Savings of America for the
overpayment of 1985 city taxes be approved.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this
