R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Beaumont,
pursuant to the authority granted by Article 664-7, Vernon' s Texas
Civil Statutes, as amended, desires to participate in certain
below-described purchasing programs of the State Purchasing and
General Services Commission; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that
participation in these programs will be highly beneficial to the
taxpayers of this city through the anticipated savings to be
ralized;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City of Beaumont hereby requests the State Purchasing and
General Services Commission to include its stated need for Series
475 pursuit vehicles on the Commission' s annual contracts for those
items, whereby the City Manager may be allowed to purchase those
items from the annual contract in question, and that Albert E.
Haines, City Manager of the City of Beaumont, be, and he is hereby,
authorized and directed to sign and deliver all necessary requests
and other documents in connection therewith for and on behalf of
the City of Beaumont.
