WHEREAS, on June 9, 1987 , City Council awarded a
contract to Arlesco, Inc. in the amount of $20,370 for the
construction of Beaumont iviunicipal Transit Bus Shelters and
Benches; and,
1,11HEREAS, Change Order No. 1 was executed for the
deletion of a bus shelter at College/Neches and adding a bus
shelter at Callaghan/Colorado in the amount of $0.00, thereby
leaving the contract amount at $20 , 370 ; and,
WHEIREAS, Change Order No. 2 is being proposed to adjust
all payment line items in the original contract proposal to
include final quantities used for the completion of the Beaumont
Municipal Transit bus shelters and benches;
HHEIRVEAS, this project is funded by a grant through the
Urban 'Elass Transportation with local funding in the amount of
seven -�Dercent ( 7% ) ;
NOT,v, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY -21-11E
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAU-,10-,,NIT:
THAT the construction of Beaumont Municipal Transit bus shelters
and benches is hereby accepted by the City of Beaumont and the
City ",111anaqer be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute Change
Order No. 2 to the contract between Arlesco, Inc. and the City of
Beaumont decreasing the total contract amount by $3 ,061 .76 and is
authorized to make -final payment to Arlesco, Inc. in the amount
of $865 .41 .
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED Ti-TAT the total city contribution
to the project will be equal to seven percent ( 7%) of the total
project cost.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this
