R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Mr. Thomas K. Lamb, Jr. has applied to the
County for a refund of overpayment of 1985 city taxes in the
amount of Six Hundred Twenty Dollars and Seventy-Three Cents
( $620.73 ) ; and,
WHEREAS, the County Tax Assessor/Collector has notified
the city of the error and has requested a refund of the above
amount; and,
WHEREAS, State law requires the approval of the City
Council for all tax refunds in excess of Five Hundred Dollars
( $500) ;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the refund of Six Hundred Twenty Dollars and Seventy-Three
Cents ( $620.73) to Mr. Thomas K. Lamb, Jr. for the overpayment of
1985 city taxes be approved.
