WHEREAS, on July 13, 1987, informal bids were received
for the purchase of eight (8 ) vehicles for the Police Department;
and,
WHEREAS, Kinsel Ford Co. , and Beaumont Motor Co. , of
Beaumont, Texas, submitted bids in the following amounts:
Kinsel Ford Co.
1 police cruiser------------------$ 12,960.00
Beaumont Motor Co.
Six 4-door sedans and
one station wagon----------------$ 84,352.62
and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the
bids submitted above are the lowest and best bids meeting
specifications and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAU.MONT:
THAT the bids submitted above be accepted by the City of Beaumont
in the amounts stated for the purchase of eight (8) vehicles for
use by the Police Department.
