R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Kyle Preservation , Ltd. , owner, has
requested the City of Beaumont to allow them to encroach nine
feet (9 ' ) from the west corner of the Kyle Building into Broadway
and Orleans Street right-of-way for a four ( 4) sided sign post,
mounted on a six inch (6") pole, with each side being one foot
nine inches ( 1 ' 9" ) ; and,
WHEREAS City staff has expended considerable time and
effort in investigating the effect of such encroachment upon the
City and utilities serving the same; and,
WHEREAS, it appears that it would be equitable to allow
such encroachment at this time;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a License to
Encroach for the Kyle Preservation, Ltd. , owner, to encroach nine
feet (9 ' ) from the west corner of the Kyle Building into Broadway
and Orleans Streets right-of-way for a four (4) sided sign post,
mounted on a six inch (6") pole, with each side being one foot
nine inches ( 1 '9" ) for a one-time fee of Five Hundred Dollars
($500) .
