WHEREAS, on May 5, 1987, bids were received for an annual
contract for the purchase of 1 -1 /2 sack and sand cement, 2 sack
material; and,
WHEREAS, Kemp Materials of Beaumont, Texas, submitted a
bid in the approximate amount of $7.90 per ton for sand cement 1 -
1 /2 sack and $9.80 per ton for sand cement 2 sack; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid
submitted by Kemp Materials is the lowest and best bid and should
be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Kemp Materials for an annual contract for
the purchase of sand cement 1 -1 /2 sack and sand cement 2 sack
material in the approximate amount of $7.90 per ton and $9.80 per
ton, respectively, be accepted by the City of Beaumont.
