R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, on April 13, 1387, bids were received for the
purchase of approximately 1 ,500 tons of coldmix class A, type "B"
aggregate for use by the Public Works/Operations Division; and,
WHEREAS, White' s Mines of San Antonio, Texas submitted a
bid in the amount of $12.75/ton at the current freight rate of
$13.84/ton for an approximate total cost of $39,885; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid
submitted by White' s Mines is the lowest and best bid and should be
accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by White' s Mines be accepted by the City of
Beaumont in the amount of $12. 75/to).-i at the current freight rate of
$13 .84/ton for an approximate total cast of $39,885 for the
purchase of approximately 1 ,500 toms of coldmix class A, type "B"
aggregate for use by the Public Works/Operations Division.
