R E S 0 L U T 1 0 N
WHEREAS, on January 23, 1987, a City of Beaumont
sanitation vehicle was involved in an accident with a private motor
vehicle on IH- 10 ; and,
WHEREAS, the accident resulted in damage to the private
'"v e.n_icle and bodily injury to Maudry Williams, the dirver; and,

WHEREAS, in an Executive Session on February 10, 1987,
the Council authorized the settlement of the r)roperty (Jailage in Lhe
amount of Three Thousand Eight Hundred Seventy-One Dollars dnd
Forty-Four Cents ( $3,871 .44j ; and,
WHEREAS, on Tuesday, March -44, 19037, in Executive
Session, Council authorized the payment of Four Thousand Dollars
($4,000 ) in settlement of t1 le bodily injuries and associated costs;
NOW, THERFFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Council hereby authorize the City Attorney to settle
the claim of MauClry Williams by payment of Four Thousand Dollars
( $4, 000 ) and all actions taken to settle such claim 'be, and the
sarae are hereby, ratified.
