WHEREAS, the Bevil Oaks Volunteer Fire Department is
requesting approval of the formation of a rural fire prevention
district to be called the Northwest Jefferson County Rural Fire
Prevention District; and,
WHEREAS, State law requires, prior to the formation of
such district that the City of Beaumont approve the formation of
such district because it lies within the extra-territorial
jurisdiction of the City of Beaumont;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the Bevil Oaks Volunteer Fire Department and others who have
applied for the approval of the City of Beaumont to form the
Northwest Jefferson County Rural Fire Prevention District be, and
are hereby, granted the approval of the City of Beaumont to take
the necessary steps under State law to form such district and the
formation of such rural fire prevention district is hereby in all
things approved.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this
