R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, on January 26, 1987, bids were received for an
annual contract for the purchase of approximately 2,000 tons of
slag base for use by the Operations Division of Public Works for
street repairs; and,
WHEREAS, Dravo Materials Co. of Beaumont, Texas submitted
a bid in the amount of $7.95/ton for an approximate annual cost of
$15,900; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid
submitted by Dravo Materials Co. is the lowest and best bid and
should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Dravo Materials Co. be acceped by the
City of Beaumont in the amount of $7 .95/ton for an approximate
annual cost of $15,900 for the purchase of 2,000 tons of slag base
for use by the Public Works Department.
