WHEREAS, on July 22, 1986, City Council awarded a
contract to Teal Contracting Company, Inc. in the amount of
$44,422.10 for the completion of the work for Riverfront Park
Pedestrian Underpass Retaining Wall; and,
WHEREAS, on August 11 , 1986, Change Order No. 1 was
executed, on August 29, 1986 , Change Order No. 2 was executed and
on October 15, 1986, Change Order No. 3 was executed increasing the
amount of the contract to $51 ,937.80 ; and,
WHEREAS, final measurement of quantities for this project
established a final contract cost of $60,123.64; and,
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 4 in the amount of $8,185.54
should be approved; and,
WHEREAS, the project has been completed and is in
accordance with the plans and specifications;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute
Change Order No. 4 to the contract between Teal Contracting
Company, Inc. and the City of Beaumont, to accept the Riverfront
Park Pedestrian Underpass Retaining Wall as being complete and to
make final payment to Teal Contracting Company, Inc. in the amount
of $14, 133.25.
