WHEREAS, in February, 1985, City Council awarded a
contract to Sterling Utility Construction, Inc. for Sanitary Sewer
Improvements Contract 17D in the amount of $2,414,540; and,
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 3 is being recommended to
adjust contract bid items to reflect actual quantities of material
installed, extra items of necessary work, adjust contract calendar
days due to bad weather, establish the project completion date and
provide the basis for final payment;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute
Change Order No. 3 to the contract between Sterling Utility
Construction, Inc. and the City of Beaumont for Sanitary Sewer
Improvements Contract 17D and make final payment in the amount of
$25,832 . 56.
