WHEREAS, after submission of the city' s 1986 CDBG Final
Statement of Objectives and objective use of funds to the
Department of Housing and Urban Development on June 16, 1986, the
city received an additional entitlement allocation; and,
WHEREAS, including other funds available for
reprogramming the total amount to be reprogrammed by the City
Council is Three Hundred Thirty-One Thousand One Hundred Eleven
Dollars and Seventy Cents ($331,111 .70) ; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the
recommendation of the Citizens Advisory Committee;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the following allocation of reprogrammable CDBG funds be, and
the same is hereby, approved:
Social Service Facility Rehabilitation $ 87,761 .70
Street Rehabilitation in the C .D. $153,700.00
Strategy Area
Rehabilitation of City-Owned Structure/ $ 89,650.00
Tyrrell Historical Library
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager be, and he
is hereby, authorized to submit an amendment to the 1986 CDBG Final
Statement of Objectives and Projected Use of Funds in accordance
with this resolution.

R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, in accordance with a contract with the State, the
City is responsible for the acquisition of real property for the
Martin Luther King, Jr . Parkway/Spur 380 Project; and,
WHEREAS, the Council finds that the ability to provide
funds to those property owners who desire to sell at the State' s
approved appraised value would be of significant assistance in
negotiating the purchase of real property for the project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager or his designee be, and they are hereby,
authorized to pay, without prior Council approval, the State
approved appraised value for property needed for the Martin Luther
King, Jr. Parkway/Spur 380 Project.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is hereby
directed to make a monthly report of such purchases to the City
Council .
