WHEREAS, City Councilman Mike Brumley, as a State
employee, is prohibited from receiving a salary from the City of
Beaumont; and,
WHEREAS, the Council desires to place budgeted funds for
such salary in a trust account to be expended to support a
community foundation at the discretion of the City Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT City staff is hereby directed to establish a trust fund
account to be funded by monies which are budgeted in the City
Council' s budget for the payment of salaries to Michael Brumley.
Funds may be expended from said trust account, in support of a
community foundation, at the direction of the City Council .
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this
