WHEREAS, the City of Beaumont and the Beaumont
Independent School District has acquired property at a tax
foreclosure sale held by the Sheriff of Jefferson County, Texas, by
virtue of a tax judgment; and,
WHEREAS, in accordance with law, the Port of Beaumont has
offered to purchase from the City of Beaumont and the Beaumont
Independent School District for the sum of Seven Hundred Sixty
Dollars and No/100 ($760) the hereinafter described property;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to approve
the sale of property held for delinquent taxes and described in
Exhibit "A" attached hereto, to the Port of Beaumont for the sum of
Seven Hundred Sixty Dollars ($760) .
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor be, and he is
hereby, authorized to execute a Deed Without Warranty from the City
of Beaumont to the Port of Beaumont conveying all its right, title
and interest to the property described above .

A tract of land facing 45 feet on Carroll Street and 70
feet on Finis Street, out of a part of Lot Nos. ONE (1)
and TWO (2) , in Block No. EIGHT (8), of NECHES RIVER PARK
ADDITION to the City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas,
more fully describbd as follows, to-wit:
BEGINNING at a stake in the Southwest corner of the inter-
section of Finis Street and Carroll Street, same being the
Northeast corner of Lot No. ONE (1), in Block No. EIGHT (8),
of NECHES RIVER PARK ADDITION;
THENCE West and parallel with Finis Street 70 feet to a stake
for corner;
THENCE South and parallel with Carroll Street 45 feet to a
stake for corner;
THENCE East and parallel with Finis Street 70 feet to a stake
for corner;
THENCE North and parallel with Carroll Street 45 feet to the
PLACE OF BEGINNING;
FURTHER described on the Tax Rolls of the City of Beaumont,
Jefferson County, Texas, as E.45x70 feet of East one-half
(E. 1/2) of Lots ONE (1) and TWO (2) , in Block No. EIGHT (8),
of the NECHES RIVER PARK ADDITION to the City of Beaumont,
by virtue of a deed from Rufus R. Barton and wife, Esther
Barton to Fayou Edwards and wife, Mary Edwards , dated
January 11, 1960, recorded in Vol. 1388, page 76, of the
Deed Records. Property presently known as 1410 Carroll
Street.
