R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, on April 15, 1986, the City of Beaumont awarded
the St. Elizabeth/Gaylyn and IH-10/llth Street Drainage Project to
Blacksher & Sons, Inc. in the amount of $404,394.20; and,
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 has been recommended to
increase the number of manholes, perform extra work involved in
constructing the additional manhole at Station 11+02 (Eleventh
Street) , perform extra work for removal and replacement of
pavement, sidewalk or driveways as necessary, to eliminate existing
ponded areas, and extend the completion time for this project from
75 to 85 working days;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute
Change Order No. 1 to the St. Elizabeth/Gaylyn and IH-10/11th
Street Drainage Project executed between the. City of Beaumont and
Blacksher & Sons, Inc. increasing the amount of the contract from
$404, 394.20 to $417,015.40
