R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, the County has applied for refund of an
overpayment of 1982, 1983, and 1984 city taxes in the amount of One
Thousand One Hundred Eighty Dollars and Seventy-One Cents
($1 ,170.71) ; and,
WHEREAS, the County Tax Assessor/Collector has notified
the city of the error and has requested a refund of the above
amount; and,
WHEREAS, State law requires the approval of the City
Council for all tax refunds in excess of Five Hundred Dollars
($500) ;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the refund of One Thousand One Hundred Eighty Dollars and
Seventy-One Cents ($1 , 180.71) to the County for the overpayment of
1982, 1983, and 1984 city taxes be approved.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this
