R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, on April 1 , 1986, the City of Beaumont entered
into a contract with Camp, Dresser & McKee, Inc . (CDM) to perform
an evaluation of proposals received for operation of the city' s
Lafin Road Landfill and to compare the results with the city' s
present operational cost and methodologies; and,
WHEREAS, CDM' s study recommended that the city' s
continued operation was the most viable option showing that the
city is presently operating the landfill at a cost less than three
(3 ) of the four (4) bids received; and,
WHEREAS, each firm was allowed to submit additional
information upon learning of the results of the study and none was
submitted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City of Beaumont follow the recommendation of CDM and all
bids received for operation of the landfill are hereby rejected.
