WHEREAS, on March 4, 1985, bids were received for
construction of the Riverfront Park Pedestrian Underpass Retaining
Wall; and,
WHEREAS, Teal Contracting Company, Inc . submitted a bid
in the amount of $44,422. 10 but due to the lack of funding for this
project, it was delayed; and,
WHEREAS, funds are now available for this project with
minor design changes reducing the contract to the amount of
$42,026.10; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid
submitted by Teal Contracting Company, Inc. is the best bid and
should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Teal Contracting Company, Inc. for the
Riverfront Park Pedestrian Underpass Retaining Wall in the amount
of $42,026. 10 be accepted by the City of Beaumont.
