R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, on September 18, 1984, City Council passed a
resolution authorizing, as part of the College Street Project of
the Thoroughfare Improvement Program (T. I. P) , that College Street
be widened to five lanes from Neches Street to Main Street; and,
WHEREAS, in order to reduce costs on this project, it has
been determined that, although desirable, it is necessary only to
widen College Street between Neches and Orleans with the
appropriate transition on each side of these streets providing a
cost savings of $376,800 in right-of-way costs;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the Staff' s recommendations described above for the College
Street portion of the Thoroughfare Improvement Program be, and the
same are hereby, approved.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this
