WHEREAS, the City of Beaumont awarded Sanitary Sewer
Improvements Contract 17D to Sterling Utility Construction, Inc.
for installing sanitary sewers to separate sanitary sewage out of
the storm sewer system; and,
WHEREAS, Change Order No . 1 provided for a change in
backfill specifications where the new lines are being placed
adjacent to old sewer lines; and,
WHEREAS, Change Order No . 2 has been recommended
providing for extra work required to extend and connect to the new
sewer system an existing twelve inch ( 12") sewer line that was
overlooked during the original design phase of the project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby , authorized to execute
Change Order Number 2 to Sanitary Sewer Improvements Contracts 17D
executed between the City of Beaumont and Sterling Utility
Construction, Inc . in the amount of $43,060 increasing the amount
of the contract from $2,650, 101. 17.
