R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, right-of-way purchased for Spur 380, Phases I
and II, was purchased in the name of the State of Texas; and,
WHEREAS, in Phase III, the right-of-way will be purchased
in the name of the City of Beaumont and a portion of the property
acquired will be granted as an easement to Kansas City Southern
Railroad for railroad relocation; and,
WHEREAS, after the easements are granted, the City will
deed the property to the State subject to the easement and request
reimbursement; and,
WHEREAS, this process is necessary so as not to delay the
timely completion of the project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the purchase of the following parcels of land are hereby
approved:
Parcel 120: 2, 766 square feet out of the David
Brown League
Owner: Lena L. LaRocca, et al
Appraised Value: $41, 000
Parcel 108: 11, 313 square feet out of the David
Brown League
Owner: Dora Venza Santangelo, et al
Approved Value: $25, 500
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is hereby
authorized to execute an easement and deed on Parcel 108 as
necessary, to accomplish the purposes set out herein.
