R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, right-of-way purchased for Spur 380, Phases I
and II, was purchased in the name of the State of Texas; and,
WHEREAS, in Phase III, the right-of-way will be purchased
in the name of the City of Beaumont and a portion of the property
acquired will be granted as an easement to Kansas City Southern
Railroad for railroad relocation; and,
WHEREAS, after the easements are granted, the City will
deed the property to the State subject to the easement and request
reimbursement; and,
WHEREAS, this process is necessary so as not to delay the
timely completion of the project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the purchase of the following parcels of land are hereby
approved:
Parcel 140: 7 ,000 square feet, all of Lot 15,
Block 10, Ogden Addition
Owners: Mr . & Mrs. Charles Munselle
Appraised Value: 27, 775
Parcel 143 : 17,090 square feet out of Lot 23 and
all of Lots 24 and 25, Block 15,
Ogden Addition
Owner: Richard Ralph Ferguson
Approved Value: $53, 500
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is hereby
authorized to execute an easement and deed on Parcel 140 as
necessary , to accomplish the purposes set out herein.
