R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, on June 2, 1986, bids were received for the
purchase of approximately 220 tons of liquid chlorine for use by
the Water Treatment and the Sewage Treatment Plants; and,
WHEREAS, Jones Chemical Company of Houston, Texas
submitted a bid in the amount of $345 per ton; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid
submitted by Jones Chemical Company is the best bid received and
should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Jones Chemical Company for the purchase
of approximately 220 tons of liquid chlorine in the amount of $345
per ton be accepted by the City of Beaumont.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this
the day of 1986.
