WHEREAS, the Meeker Municipal Water District is
requesting permission from the City of Beaumont to provide water
service to residents along Smith, Boyt and Brooks Roads within the
extraterritorial jurisdiction of the City of Beaumont and,
WHEREAS, the Meeker Municipal Water District has been
authorized to provide such service in accordance with the
preliminary project report map filed with the Texas Water
Commission; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to give permission for
such water service subject to appropriate line sizing;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the Meeker Municipal Water District be, and it is hereby,
authorized to provide water service to residents along Smith, Boyt
and Brooks Roads in accordance with the preliminary project report
map filed with the Texas Water Commission with the exception that
the line sizes in such project shall be subject to the prior
written approval of the Director of the Water Utilities Department
of the City of Beaumont.
