R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, on May 5, 1986, bids were received for a six-month
contract to furnish hot mix/cold laid asphalt and hot mix/hot laid
asphalt for use by the Street Department for street repairs; and
WHEREAS, Keown Supply Company of Beaumont submitted a bid in
the amount of $30. 50/ton for hot mix/cold laid asphalt and $28.50/ton
for hot mix/hot laid asphalt; and
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid
submitted by Keown Supply Company is the lowest and best bid and
should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Keown Supply Company for a six-month
contract to furnish hot mix/cold laid asphalt in the amount of
$30.50/ton and hot mix/hot laid asphalt in the amount of $28.50/ton
for use by the Street Department for street repairs be accepted by the
City of Beaumont.
