WHEREAS, in 1984, the City of Beaumont awarded Bob Shaw
Consulting Engineers a contract to provide a master plan for
improvements to the Henry Homberg Golf Course Facility; and,
WHEREAS, bids were received for the Henry Homberg Golf
Improvement Project on February 24, 1986, the lowest bid being
submitted by Swain Co . in the amount of $388,853 .60 which was
$136, 146.40 below the original estimate; and,
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 has been recommended to
increase the amount of concrete cart paths from 10,600 square yards
to 13, 990 square yards; and,
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 2 has been recommended for the
reconditioning of two (2 ) additional ponds on the Henry Homberg
Golf Course;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute
Change Order Numbers 1 and 2 to the Henry Homberg Golf Improvement
Project, executed between the City of Beaumont and Swain Co. , in
the combined amount of $60,454 increasing the amount of the
contract from $388, 853.60 to $449, 307.60.
