WHEREAS, bids were taken on one (1 ) parcel of land which
is no longer needed by the City of Beaumont; and,
WHEREAS, Kansas City Southern Railway Company submitted a
bid in the amount of $44, 650 and the release of a reversionary
clause on the former Fire Station No . 9 for Parcel 15 which is
17.846 acres out of the J. W. Bullock and J. A. Veatch Surveys;
and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid
received on Parcel 15 should be accepted by the City of Beaumont;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Kansas City Southern Railway in the
amount of $44,650 for the purchase of Parcel 15 be accepted by the
City of Beaumont.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this
the day of 1986.
