R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, right-of-way purchased for Spur 380, Phases I
and II, was purchased in the name of the State of Texas; and,
WHEREAS, in Phase III, the right-of-way will be purchased
in the name of the City of Beaumont and a portion of the property
acquired will be granted as an easement to Kansas City Southern
Railroad for railroad relocation; and,
WHEREAS, after the easements are granted, the City will
deed the property to the State subject to the easement and request
reimbursement; and,
WHEREAS, this process is necessary so as not to delay the
timely completion of the project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the purchase of the following parcels of land are hereby
approved:
Parcel 79: 568 square feet out of Lot 12, Block 2 ,
Gentz Addition
Owner: Kaye Francis Fontenot
Appraised Value: $369
Parcel 88: 8,675 square feet out of Lot 9, Block 1 ,
Gentz Addition
Owner: Johnnie Gay Welborn
Approved Value: $7, 374
Parcel 160: 7 ,044 square feet out of Lots 1 & 2 ,
Block 5, Gray Addition
Owners: Ann Marie Grimes and Eloise
Barrick Green
Appraised Value: $8,000
Parcel 102: 7 , 296 square feet out of the David
Brown League
Owner: Elder C . Crawford
Approved Value: $20, 500
Parcel 119: 6 ,591 square feet out of the David
Brown League
Owner: Joe Aaron Bloodsworth
Appraised Value: $42,000
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is hereby
authorized to execute easements and a deeds on Parcels 102 and 119
as necessary, to accomplish the purposes set out herein.
