WHEREAS, right-of-way purchased for Spur 380, Phases I
and II, was purchased in the name of the State of Texas; and,
WHEREAS, in Phase III, the right-of-way will be purchased
in the name of the City of Beaumont and a portion of the property
acquired will be granted as an easement to Kansas City Southern
Railroad for railroad relocation; and,
WHEREAS, after the easements are granted, the City will
deed the property to the State subject to the easement and request
reimbursement; and,
WHEREAS, this process is necessary so as not to delay the
timely completion of the project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the purchase of the following parcels of land are hereby
approved:
Parcel 92 : 8,675 square feet out of Lot 13,
Block 1, Gentz Addition
Owner: Jo Ann Keys
Appraised Value: $6,721
Parcel 101: 9, 784 square feet out of the David
Brown League
Owners: Edmund Michael Carroll, et al
State' s Approved Value : $23,800
Parcel 176: 11,509 square feet out of Lots 6 and
7 Block 3 of the Gray Addition
Owners: Mr. and Mrs. Charles Merendino
Appraised Value: $18,853
Parcel 192 : 12, 537 square feet out of the David
Brown League
Owner: Mrs . Roberta Moreau
Appraised Value: $28, 159

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is hereby
authorized to execute an easement and a deed on Parcel 101, as
necessary, to accomplish the purposes set out herein.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this
