WHEREAS, on March 24, 1986, bids were received for an
annual contract to furnish approximately 24, 000 lbs. of liquid
polymer for the Water Production Plant; and
WHEREAS, American Cyanamid Company of Wayne, New Jersey
submitted a bid in the amount of $ .86/lb. for a total annual
expenditure of approximately $20,640; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid
submitted by American Cyanamid Company is the lowest and best bid
meeting specifications and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by American Cyanamid Company in the amount of
$ .86/lb. for a total expenditure of approximately $20,640 for an
annual contract to furnish approximately 24,000 lbs . of liquid
polymer for the Water Production Plant be accepted by the City of
Beaumont and the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to
execute an annual contract with American Cyanamid Company for liquid
polymer.
