WHEREAS, on March 24, 1986, bids were received for
additions and renovations to the Best Years Center; and
WHEREAS, Watkins Construction Co. submitted a bid in the
amount of $91,847 including base bid and eight additive alternates;
and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid
submitted by Watkins Construction Co. is the lowest and best bid
and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid of Watkins Construction Co. be accepted by the City of
Beaumont and the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to
enter into a contract with Watkins Construction Co . in the amount
of $91 , 847 for additions and renovations to the Best Years Center.
