WHEREAS, right-of-way purchased for Spur 380, Phases I
and II, was purchased in the name 'of the State of Texas; and,
WHEREAS, in Phase III, the right-of-way will be purchased
in the name of the City of Beaumont and a portion of the property
acquired will be granted as an easement to Kansas City Southern
Railroad for railroad relocation; and,
WHEREAS, after the easements are granted, the City will
deed the property to the State subject to the easement and request
reimbursement; and,
WHEREAS, this process is necessary so as not to delay the
timely completion of the project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the purchase of the following parcels of land are hereby
approved:
Parcel 72 : 12,432 square feet of Lot 6 , Block 28,
Arlington Addition
Owner: John B. Farinella, et al
State' s Approved Value: $16, 797
Parcel 77 : 4,630.4 square feet out of Block 6,
Gentz Addition
Owner: Joe E . O'Fiel
State' s Approved Value: $20, 000
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is hereby
authorized to execute easements and deeds as necessary to
accomplish the purposes set out herein.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the purchase of the following
parcels of land for M. L. King, Jr . Pkwy/Spur 380 right-of-way
acquisition be, and the same are hereby, approved:
Parcel 73 : 3, 510.9 square feet out of Lot 7 ,
O' Brien and Bordages Addition
Owner: Joe E. O'Fiel
Appraised Value : $2,984
Parcel 74: 5 ,854.5 square feet out of Lot 6,
O' Brien and Bordages Addition
Owner: Joe E. O'Fiel
Appraised Value : $4, 976
