WHEREAS, on March 17, 1986, bids were received for the
purchase of two ambulance units for the E.M.S . Department and two
mobile radios for the new units; and,
WHEREAS, Southwest Professional Vehicles submitted a bid
in the amount of $58, 893 per ambulance unit for a total cost of
$117, 786; and
WHEREAS, Bartlett Electronics submitted a bid in the
amount of $597. 59 per mobile radio for a total cost of $1 , 195 .18;
and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bids
submitted by Southwest Professional Vehicles and Bartlett
Electronics are the lowest and best bids and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bids of Southwest Professional Vehicles for two ambulance
units in the amount of $117, 786 and Bartlett Electronics for two
mobile radios in the amount of $1 , 195. 18 be accepted by the City of
Beaumont.
