BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute
an amendment to the Maintenance Agreement with the State of Texas
for "Welcome to Beaumont Park" substantially in the form attached
hereto as Exhibit "A" .

AMENDMENT TO THE MUNICIPAL MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT
FOR THE CITY OF BEAUMONT
WHEREAS, the Municipal Maintenance Agreement was executed between the "State of
Texas", hereinafter referred to as the "State," and the "City of Beaumont",
hereinafter referred to as the "City", on November 9, 1982.
WHEREAS, by the above mentioned agreement the State and City consented to
designated participation in the maintenance and the operation of State Highway
routes within the City depending upon classification.
WHEREAS, the City desires to landscape and beautify the area between the
Business U.S. 90 main lanes (Central Distributor) from North Street to Harrison
Street.
NOW THEREFORE, in recognition of this proposed work the Controlled Access
Highways portion of said Municipal Maintenance Agreement is amended under City's
Duties as follows:
1. Mow, clean up litter, and maintain within the completed facility
2. Erect and maintain all signs necessary for the proper use of the facility
3. Maintain all drainage within the facility area.
This amendment will become effective upon the date when actual field construc-
tion operations commence.
