WHEREAS, on March 17, 1986, bids were received for an
annual contract to furnish sand and clay to be used to cover refuse
at the Lafin Road Landfill; and
WHEREAS, Beeco Sand Company of Vidor submitted a bid in the
amount of $ .99/cu .yd . for sand and $1 . 24/cu.yd . for clay; and
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid
submitted by Beeco Sand Company is the lowest and best bid and should
be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Beeco Sand Company for an annual contract to
furnish clay and sand in the amount of $ .99/cu .yd . for sand and
$1 .24/cu .yd. for clay for use at the Lafin Road Landfill be accepted
by the City of Beaumont.
